Flooding in Connecticut
This past couple months have had an incredible amount of rainfall. This year, we've already exceeded 130 percent of last years rain, and we still have two months left! This rain is causing extreme flooding across the state. We need to do something about this.
Connecticut has some really old infrastructure, and that includes draining systems all over the state. Climate Change has caused more frequent and intense storms in the northeast, Connecticut has become a victim of this.
So, we all need to come together, work with experts and the government, and find smart ways to deal with all this rain and flooding. It's about making our state strong and ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at us. By facing this challenge together, we can make Connecticut safer and more prepared for the future.
